How many people can we bring together?
From 14 to 24 depending on the house, and always the whole house. No rooms let separately, no neighbours in the next wing: the group is on its own.
- Le Plessis-Placy (Seine-et-Marne): sleeps 24, 9 bedrooms, 7 shower rooms.
- Montereau (Loiret): sleeps 16, 7 bedrooms, 5 shower rooms.
- Saint-Amarin (Vosges): sleeps 15, 7 bedrooms, 7 shower rooms, all en suite.
- Champrond-en-Gâtine (Perche): sleeps 15, 6 bedrooms, 3 shower rooms.
- La Chapelle-Hareng (Normandy): sleeps 15, 6 bedrooms and an alcove, 3 shower rooms.
- Saint-Sulpice-de-Royan (Charente-Maritime): sleeps 14, 6 bedrooms, 6 shower rooms, all en suite.
The number is the house's real bed count, not a theoretical maximum: everyone gets a proper bed. Above 24, none of our houses will do, and we would rather say so here than on the phone.
How much does a birthday weekend for the whole family cost?
From 828 € per night for the whole house, up to 1,164 € at Le Plessis-Placy, the largest. The price depends on the house and the dates, and it is shown on each house's page before you pick a weekend.

That price includes professional cleaning before you arrive, bedding, towels and household linen, shower gel and shampoo in every bathroom, the kitchen essentials (olive oil, spices, coffee, cleaning products), the late Sunday checkout and a dedicated contact who replies within the hour. Dogs are welcome at 45 € per animal. Delivered chef meals and a private chef are optional extras.
Grandparents and babies: is that catered for?
Yes. Tell us who is coming and we prepare the house accordingly: cots and high chairs are set up before you arrive, and we tell you, house by house, which bedrooms are on the ground floor for those who no longer take the stairs.
For the pool, each house has its own answer and we give it before you book: a fenced pool at Montereau, a rolling safety cover at Saint-Sulpice-de-Royan, and an indoor pool in its own room at Champrond-en-Gâtine, La Chapelle-Hareng and Saint-Amarin. All six houses have a children's play area and a table tennis table.
What time do we arrive, and when do we have to leave?
Arrival from 4 pm (5 pm at Montereau), departure at 10 am on weekdays. On Sundays the late checkout is included at every house: you have the house until 10 pm.
When you arrive the house is heated, the cleaning is done, the beds are ready, the coffee is in the cupboard. A digital welcome guide covers how the house works and the good addresses nearby; for everything else, your contact replies within the hour, before and during the stay.
How does the family get there from several cities?
Four of the six houses are under twenty minutes from a railway station, and the four in the Paris basin are at most two hours from Paris. A taxi service operates around all six, and Uber works at Montereau, Le Plessis-Placy and Champrond-en-Gâtine.

- Champrond-en-Gâtine: Courville-sur-Eure station 13 minutes away, Paris 1 h 15.
- Montereau: Nogent-sur-Vernisson station 13 minutes away, Paris 1 h 15.
- La Chapelle-Hareng: Bernay station 18 minutes away, Paris 2 h.
- Saint-Amarin: Mulhouse TGV station 40 minutes away.
- Saint-Sulpice-de-Royan: Royan beaches 15 minutes away.
A house or a village hall: which is right for a birthday?
A house, if you want everyone to sleep where they had dinner. That is the difference that counts: nobody gets back in the car at the end of the meal, the grandparents go up to bed when they like, and the next morning breakfast still brings everyone to the same table.
A hall is hired for a meal and handed back the same evening; the family then has to be housed elsewhere, in several places, with the journeys to organise. A house is rented for the weekend: the kitchen is equipped for cooking for fifteen, the table is already there, the bedrooms are upstairs, the pool and the garden keep the children busy between meals.
What a house is not: a reception venue. Our houses bring together 14 to 24 people, rented whole, in quiet villages. They suit family birthdays and reunions, not receptions for sixty guests.
When should we book?
As soon as the date is set. A birthday does not move, and there are only six houses. Write to us with the date and the number of people: we reply within the hour, tell you which houses are free, and can help you allocate the bedrooms before you have even booked.
Your questions before you book
Can we bring in a chef or have meals delivered?
Yes. We arrange a private chef or delivered chef meals as an option, and we help you put the menu together. Every house also has a kitchen equipped for cooking for fifteen, with an oven, proper tableware and a barbecue.
Is there a table where everyone can sit together?
Yes, in all six houses: it is the criterion we chose them on. The birthday meal is eaten at one table, with no improvised extension in the living room.
Are dogs welcome?
Yes, in all six houses, at 45 € per animal, with bowls and treats provided. The grounds are fenced, partly fenced or open depending on the house, and each page says which.
What do we need to bring?
Your groceries and the cake. Bedding, towels, household linen, shower gel, shampoo, olive oil, spices, coffee and cleaning products are already in the house.
What if it rains all weekend?
Three houses have a heated indoor pool open all year: Champrond-en-Gâtine, La Chapelle-Hareng and Saint-Amarin. La Chapelle-Hareng, Montereau and Saint-Amarin have a screening room; Le Plessis-Placy and Saint-Amarin have a billiard table; all six have a table tennis table and a play area.
Can a house take 30 people?
No. Our largest house, Le Plessis-Placy, sleeps 24, and we do not go beyond the number of beds. Above that, a different kind of venue is the better choice, and we would rather tell you before you enquire.
Do we need a car?
Not necessarily. Four houses are under twenty minutes from a station (Le Plessis-Placy, Champrond-en-Gâtine, Montereau, La Chapelle-Hareng), a taxi service operates around all six, and Uber works at Montereau, Le Plessis-Placy and Champrond-en-Gâtine. Once there, a car is still handy for the shopping.
