Heated plunge pool and open air
A heated stainless-steel plunge pool, 3 x 2 m, set in the garden. It isn't a swimming pool, and we say so plainly: in summer it's where you cool off and where the children spend the afternoon; in winter, turned up warmer, it becomes a big warm bath with submerged benches, seating eight under the stars. That's usually where the evening ends.
Next to it, a naturally shaded terrace for meals outdoors, garden furniture, a children's play area, and the village grounds just steps away: pétanque, football and tennis, shared with local residents..
An entire floor dedicated to games
French billiards, foosball, poker, ping-pong, a light-up buzzer reaction game, a ball pit and children's games: a world of entertainment designed for all ages, day and night.
A space to reset and focus
A light-filled yoga studio of around 100 m², a professional kitchen equipped for culinary workshops, and a seminar room with dedicated equipment (projector, flipchart, notebooks and pens).

The Ourcq valley and the Brie
Le Plessis-Placy is one of the twenty-two communes of the Pays de l'Ourcq, in the north-east of the Seine-et-Marne. The farmhouse sits on the Multien plateau, above the valley where the river and the canal run down to the Marne together. The Ourcq canal was ordered by decree on 19 May 1802 and dug to bring drinking water to Paris; it opened in 1813 and ends at the Bassin de la Villette. That is the exact measure of the distance: 50 minutes by car, and 45 minutes by train from Gare de l'Est to Lizy-sur-Ourcq, 6 minutes from the house.
The Ourcq valley, between Multien and Marne
The Multien is a plateau of open farmland cut by damp valleys running down to the Marne. Lizy-sur-Ourcq, the next town, holds the confluence of the Ourcq and the Marne, and that is where the Gare de l'Est line passes. You are in the Île-de-France without looking it: square farmyards, church towers, and a background noise that fits inside the wind.
The Grand-Voyeux, 240 hectares ten minutes away
The Grand-Voyeux nature reserve spreads 240 hectares of ponds, reedbeds and meadows where more than 225 bird species have been recorded, 10 minutes from the house; you walk it on the towpaths of the Ourcq canal. Ten minutes away too, the Edentara farm park keeps 150 animals, from goats to kangaroos, which fills a morning with children and needs no negotiating. The rest of the time, the village ground is a short walk away, with its pétanque, football and tennis.
Meaux: the Great War, the cathedral, the brie
Meaux is 20 minutes away. Its museum of the Great War is the largest European museum devoted to the First World War, with some 70,000 objects and documents. The gothic cathedral of Saint-Étienne keeps its historic organ, with the Bossuet garden at its foot. This is also the town that gave its name to Brie de Meaux, an appellation d'origine contrôlée since 1980 and protected since 1996, made from raw whole cow's milk across an area that covers the whole of the Seine-et-Marne. The Restaurant du Champ de Mars, listed in the Michelin guide, is 15 minutes away. The other way, 20 minutes out, the unfinished façade of the château de La Ferté-Milon stands over the Ourcq valley, and a little beyond it the Pannier cellars open two kilometres of Champagne galleries cut into medieval quarries.
Which house for a weekend in the Brie
650 m², 9 bedrooms, 24 beds: this is the largest of our houses, and it opens both our villas where fifteen people sleep without a folding bed and our large houses an hour from Paris. The small heated pool in the garden works as a pool in summer and a hot bath in winter, which places it both in our countryside houses with a pool and in our houses where the evening ends in hot water. The tennis court is the village's, a short walk away and shared, as at some of our houses where you can play tennis. The fireplace and the piano in the main sitting room put it on the list of houses to book for Christmas and New Year, and dogs are welcome at 45 € per animal, as in our other countryside houses the dog comes to as well.
